Where do the extra queens go?
- Place both extra queens on the rim, in the side circles.
- Put the one intended as the white queen closer to the white side of the board.
- Put the one intended as the black queen closer to the black side. Which physical side you use does not matter in itself. The app decides purely by proximity: whichever queen is nearer the white side is read as the white queen.
The in-app onboarding video demonstrates this, and in beta testing customers followed it correctly without further help. Board rim with the circle positions visible: extra queens placed near their matching sides, plus a few captured pieces sitting in other circles.
