How does the app know it's a Wizard Alive board?
By serial number. It is the same app for every product: on detecting a Wizard board it automatically applies the themed design: different colours, different icons, different board art and the themed music.
The customer does nothing and sees no switch. Functionally everything is identical. The robots, pieces and every feature work the same way. Only the presentation changes.
Wizard owners can turn the theme off if they prefer the standard look. Owners of non-Wizard boards never see that option at all. Side-by-side app screenshots of the same game screen: standard GoChess skin vs. the Wizard Alive skin.
