How should the board be cleaned, and how often?
Before every use, not just the first:
- Take the pieces off the board.
- Wipe the playing surface with the supplied microfiber cloth: dry, or very slightly damp.
- Wipe the bottoms of the pieces. This half is skipped most often and matters just as much.
- Let it dry fully if you used a damp cloth, then set up. This is not cosmetic. Dust on the surface or on the piece bases dramatically increases friction and significantly reduces the robot's ability to drag pieces cleanly. Our own R&D demos start with a cleaning pass every single time. Microfiber cloth wiping the board surface, plus an inset of a piece turned upside down showing the felt/magnet base being wiped.
