In short - it doesn't :)
The GoChess board uses advanced magnetic sensors to track the position of each chess piece on the board. Here's how it works:
-
Initial Setup: When you first set up the board, the pieces are placed in their standard starting positions. The board recognizes these positions as the initial setup and tracks movements from there.
-
Magnetic Sensors: Each piece has a magnetic base, and the board is equipped with magnetic sensors under each square. These sensors detect the movement and position of the pieces, ensuring that the board is aware of every move.
-
Tracking Movements: As pieces are moved during the game, the board continuously tracks them. If a piece is placed incorrectly or moved outside of the allowed rules, the system will indicate an error.
