In Solver mode I rotated the face based on what the solver showed me, and I got a message: “Wrong Move”. Why?

In the Solver, the app shows you the moves you need in order to solve the cube, and when you rotate it, it follows your moves after a delay. Therefore, you shouldn’t rotate it too quickly. After each move wait until the next step.
