Usage modes
Two ways to enjoy your GoChess
Full Robotic Experience
Use the board mounted on the robotic base.
Portable Smart Chessboard
Use the board by itself for non-robotic play.
Choose by setup
Use the base when you want the robotic movement experience.
Placement
Make room for your GoChess
Set the robotic base on a flat, stable surface. Avoid small, uneven, or slanted surfaces because they may affect robotic performance.
Do not place the board or base on its side
Improper handling or storage may cause irreversible damage. Protect the system from sharp or heavy objects.
Robot setup
Setting up your robots
Find the power button at the bottom of the robot, press it, and flip the robot back to check the top LED state.

Mount and charge

Mount the board
Mount the board in the right orientation according to the illustration.

Plug in your board
Plug in the board for the best setup experience. Keep GoChess plugged in during play so the robots can charge automatically.

Turn it on
Press the robotic base power button.

Install and connect
Install the GoChess app, connect your board, and start playing.
Care and support
Storage, troubleshooting, and support
Keep your GoChess horizontal and mounted on the robotic base. Plug in the USB cable to the base to charge the board and let the robot self-charge.
