GoChess piece capturing

Each chess piece has a magnetic base, and the board is equipped with magnetic sensors. To ensure that the board detects the movements correctly:

1. Lift the chess piece at least 3-4 cm above the board when moving it.
2. Hovering the piece too closely to the board may accidentally trigger incorrect placements due to the sensors detecting the magnetic field.
3. Place the piece in its intended square after lifting it.

Capturing a Chess Piece:

When capturing an opponent's piece, it is important to follow the correct steps to ensure the board accurately registers the move:

Option 1 :

1. Lift the captured piece off the board first.
2. Then, lift your capturing piece and place it in the square of the captured piece.

Option 2 :

1. Lift your capturing piece at least 3-4 cm above the board.
2. Then lift the captured piece.
3. Finally, place your capturing piece in the square where the captured piece was.
